我们祷告时，

  1. 要深深晓得上帝的威严（传5:1）1）；
  2. 深深明了自己的不配（创18:27；32:10）10）、需要（路15:17-19）19）和罪过（路18:13-14）14）；
  3. 要以悔改的心（诗51:17）17）、感恩的心（腓4:6）6）、宽广的心（撒上1:15；2:1）1）祷告；
  4. 要以悟性（林前14:15）15）、信心（可11:24；24；雅1:6）6）祷告，真诚（诗145:18；17:1）1）、恳切（雅5:16）16），有爱心（提前2:8）8），有恒心（弗6:18）18），等候上帝（弥7:7）7），并谦卑地降服于祂的旨意之下（太26:39）39）。
