我们当：

  1. 为基督在地上的整个教会祷告（弗6:18；18；诗28:9）9）；
  2. 为公民政府的长官（提前2:1-2）2），为牧者（西4:3）3）祷告；
  3. 为我们自己（创32:11）11），为我们的弟兄（雅5:16）16），也为我们的敌人祷告（太5:44）44）；
  4. 为各种活着的人（提前2:1-2）2），也为将要来到这个世界的人祷告（约17:20；20；撒下7:29）29）；
  5. 但是，不可为死人祷告（撒下12:21-23）23），也不可为那些已经知道犯了至于死的罪的人祷告（约壹5:16）16）。
